               To my childhood close friend

Now that I have this avenue to vent my years of feelings of loss, I want you to
know that I have never forgotten you or our friendship. Your remembrance/funeral
card is still displayed on my dresser, and I especially remember, and cry for you,
               every Memorial Day.

You will always be my friend and, as long as I live, so do you - in my heart, mind,
               and thoughts.

I have to close now - the grief is almost overpowering! I am so appreciative of this
opportunity to say "good-bye", an opportunity I never had when I lost you, my
               friend.

               Good-bye my dear John.
               Your friend forever,
               Joe
